At Parkjun Beauty Lab Seongsu, we look at your hair before choosing the dye. Even for the same colour, what your hair has been through decides which products and which order will work. If you think about the four points below before you come, the consultation is shorter and more accurate.
1. Treatments in the last six months
When you last had colour, a perm or straightening is the first thing we need. Rough is fine — "straightening in summer, root colour two months ago". It tells us how much of the earlier treatment is still in your hair.
2. Whether you have ever bleached
If previously bleached hair is still there, the same dye can come up a different shade on that part. If only the ends were bleached, tell us that too.
3. The brightness you want — lighter or darker than now
More important than the name of the colour is whether you are going lighter, staying about the same, or going darker. For a clearly lighter shade we first check whether bleach is needed. Changing the tone or going darker is usually done with a full colour. If you have reference photos, one indoors and one outdoors is ideal.

4. How long it needs to last
If you cannot come often, a colour that shows less regrowth is the better choice. If you can come in once a month, keeping it up with root colour on the new growth also works.
Colour menu at Seongsu
- Root colour — just the new growth
- Full colour — to change the overall tone
- Bleach — to lighten the base first when the shade you want is much lighter
If you are worried about dryness afterwards, add a clinic or diamond clinic treatment. Longer hair has a length surcharge, which we tell you in advance along with the timing. The full menu is on the style page, and each designer's speciality is on the designer page.
